All Melton Classics balustrades are subjected to stringent inspections and quality controls prior to carefully packaging your balustrade for shipment. Polymer Marble Composite
Low maintenance DuraClassic™ Balustrades are hand cast from a similar poly/marble composite to our DuraClassic™ Architectural Columns and backed by a lifetime warranty. This poly/marble composite is designed to provide a smooth painted finish to reduce its cost and blend in coloration and finish with other surrounding painted millwork. DuraClassic™ Balustrades have a very low moisture absorption rate which eliminates spalling and the damaging weathering effects of harsh climates.

Reduced Weight
DuraClassic™ Balustrades are engineered to reduce weight for elevated applications, but still provide a weighty substantial feel and appearance. This reduced weight makes DuraClassic™ Balustrades ideal for balconies, roof tops, stairways and other elevated applications where lower weight is necessary to eliminate the need for costly added framing or steel structural supports.

Ease of Installation
No specialized labor or tools are required to install DuraClassic™ Balustrades. They have been engineered to be simple to install and are smooth and ready for application of paint finish. In addition railings are available in one foot increments up to 16' to allow for longer spans and reduce rail waste and the number of newel posts.

Radius Railings To enhance the beauty of your project all designs of our DuraClassic™ Balustrades are available with radius railings. Radiused stairs are not available with DuraClassic™ Balustrades. For radiused stairs see our MarbleTex™ Balustrades or MeltonStone™ Balustrades.

Building Codes & Safety Requirements
Melton Classics has designed all DuraClassic™ Balustrades to allow you to comply with all building code safety requirements. All of our DuraClassic™ Balustrade designs are engineered to allow baluster spacing flexibility to meet local baluster spacing code requirements, or to allow wider spacing where the balustrade is installed close to grade, or there is no access and a specific code spacing is not required. All of our balustrade products also exceed BOCA standards.

Design Coordination
For complete coordination of your design elements Melton Classics also offers DuraClassic™ Architectural Columns to compliment our DuraClassic™ Balustrades. Rotocast with a one piece shaft design from an enhanced Class 1 fire rated poly/marble composite similar our balustrade systems, DuraClassic™ columns exceed the stringent ASTM E 84-01 specifications for flame spread and low smoke density. Designed to be load bearing, they can also be specified factory split for reassembly around structural members. DuraClassic™ Columns are available in a wide variety of classical designs, and are offered with round entasis tapered shaft designs in diameters from 6" to 24" and in heights from 4' to 24'. In addition, square columns are available with 8", 10" or 12" shafts in heights from 4' to 12'.
